Don’t make the mistake of thinking you know who the best poker trainer, teacher or instructor in the world is. Trust me, you don’t.
Phil Galfond? I hear you say. Close.
Ivey? Maybe if he turned his attention that way, being arguably the best player in the world.
But we all know he’s a bit busy at the moment with his seemingly unending disputes with his ex-wife, not to mention the ongoing events surrounding the Full Tilt Poker scandal. So who is it?
Well as you can probably tell from the title of the website you are currently browsing, his name is Jonathan Little.
His results have been exceptional, having two WPT titles under his belt (featuring Phil Ivey at one of the final tables) already.
This as well as 12 cashes at the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
However, it is not the results we are focusing on here at jonathan-little dot org but his ability to teach.
Jonathan Little was born in 1984 in Pensacola, Florida.
He began studying psychology at the University of West Florida before discovering what ultimately became his calling in poker.
Fiery Justice, or Jcardshark, as he was known in various online poker sites, quickly grew his bankroll to the point where he had earned $35000 in his first six months.
Like many other online superstar players he dropped out of colleged, pursued poker professionally, and never looked back.
The WPT Season 6 Player of the Year was equally successful on the felt as he was off it, creating a name for himself in casinos worldwide.
Jonathan Little is now a sponsored Victory Poker pro, joining the likes of televised poker stars and regulars Antonio Esfandiari and Andrew Robl.
He is also a member of Ship it Holla Ballas, a group of young players including Phil Galfond.
His reputation has also been built around his ability to sustain his play at optimum levels for long periods of time, having claimed victory at WPT Foxwoods in 2008.
The tournament broke the record for hands dealt at the final table as well as heads up, meaning that a high level of concentration was needed for a very long period of time.
Jonathan Little continues to make a name for himself around the world, with his winnings totalling several million dollars.
